Our teaching

Our aim is to give each student a clear and proper knowledge of yoga so that you can establish a daily practice in order to improve your physical and mental well-being. We do not focus on the number of Asanas that we practice but to practice each asana in the correct way with inner awareness.

As teachers of the ancient knowledge of yoga, we are honored to share the knowledge we have received from our teachers and through our own yoga practice. We feel very blessed of being able to help, inspire and guide our students on the path of yoga towards a happier, healthier and more peaceful life.

We always try to give each student in a class individual attention. It can be a gentle correction in a posture or a verbal instruction.

Yoga course 2021

The classes are held at BALANS PÅ STUREGATAN at Sturegatan 3B, 582 21 Linköping ( the studio is just next to Resecentrum)

Beginner’s level 1

For you who are completely new to hatha yoga or wish to gain a clear knowledge of the fundamental principles of hatha yoga. We will have an extra focus on gentle stretching and relaxation for body and mind. During the course, you will be introduced to new asanas and yogic breathing techniques along with their benefits, counter-indications and proper technique. After the course, you will know the basic asanas of a Sivananda class, Surya Namaskar, Pranayama (breathing techniques) and proper relaxation.

Course Information: Thursdays 28th of January to 13th of May at 17.30-18.45

Duration: 75 minutes. The number of classes: 14 (no class on week 8 and 14). Cost: 1950 kr

Beginner’s level-2

(There are two courses level-2 on Wednesday and Thursday) For you who have completed a Beginners’ course or already have some understanding of yoga. During the course, you will gain a clear knowledge of the fundamental principles of hatha yoga and be introduced to new asanas and yogic breathing techniques along with their benefits, counter-indications and proper technique. After the course, you will know the basic asanas of a Sivananda class, Surya Namaskar, Pranayama (breathing techniques) and proper relaxation. In this course, you will be given the opportunity to start practising the headstand – Sirshasana

Course Information: Wednesdays 27th of January to 12th of May at 17.15 – 18.30

Intermediate level

For you who have completed the beginners level 2′ course or already have practising yoga for some time. You will learn new variations and new asanas along with deepening your practice of the basic postures. We will continue to practice the headstand – Sirhasana. More focus on holding the postures comfortably for a long time while being aware of your thoughts and breathing. 

Course Information: Wednesdays 27th of January to 12th of May at 19.00 – 20.30

  • Duration: 90 minutes. 
  • Number of classes: 14 (no class on week  8 & 14). 
  • Cost:1950 kr

Lunchtime yoga 

These classes are suitable for beginners to intermediates. This one-hour classes will help to reduce stress, alleviate pain and tension in the neck and lower back areas, ease out stiff joints, stretch out tight muscles, reduce fatigue and induce relaxation process.

Course Information: Wednesday 3rd of February – 12th of May at 11.30-12.30

  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Number of classes: 13 (no class on week 8 &14)
  • Cost: 1625 kr

Meditation course

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to try meditation for the first time and also for regular meditators interested in exploring another meditation method.

During the course, you will learn the basic principles of meditation and the techniques according to traditional yoga.

The class will be held in the morning because that is the best time for meditation practice. We will start the class with Kriyas (yogic cleansing exercise), breathing techniques, gentle yoga asanas and then continue with a guided meditation.

In this course, you will learn Breathing techniques, Yogic Kriya (cleansing exercise), Mantras and the basic meditation techniques.
Course Information: Thursday 4th of February –  13th of May at 06.30-07.30

About yoga studio in Linköping

We are at Balans på Sturegatan, Sturegatan 3B, 582 21 Linköping

We have yoga mats, meditation pillows and cushion which you are welcome to borrow for the sessions with us.
